Elmen Consultants Limited

is run by me, Carl Elmen, and is based in Edinburgh, Scotland. I have worked as an independent test development engineer since 2011. I got into semiconductor test in my first job at Agilent Technologies in Böblingen outside Stuttgart, Germany.

When I much later started working as a contractor, I noticed the demand for work outside the traditional scope of test development. I started to do feasibility studies, training, test concept development and other associated activities with focus on the Advantest 93000 SoC Test System.

A few years ago, I purchased a fully-licenced offline workstation from Advantest in order to truly work independently of my customers. This allows me to do essentially all offline preparation work - before the chip is back from the fab or sometimes even before the customer’s tester has arrived.
